Our Executive Search Process
Richardson takes the time to understand your organization, its values, mission, and culture. By exploring your company’s “why”, our search will fall into place and we can provide custom, superior service.
Richardson will create a recruitment strategy and timetable for the project with input from key players. Next, we will solicit input from the primary client contact through meetings and/or interviews to understand the role, qualifications and experience necessary for the position, and develop a role profile.
Deliverables: Client Discovery Meeting & Opportunity Profile
Richardson will source candidates locally, nationally and if needed, internationally, proactively reaching out to candidates in the market that may not be actively seeking the position, accessing the firm’s network of qualified C-level candidates and other best practice recruitment strategies. We will then provide a Weekly Candidate Sourcing report that contains all the candidates we interviewed, the candidates’ current position, along with our notes and suggestions. Based on your feedback, we will initiate the interview process for the candidates selected.

Richardson will generate a longlist of candidates based on your organization’s needs, the position you’re searching for, and your culture. Your Lead Consultant conducts in-depth pre-screen interviews with candidates to ensure we are only bringing forward top talent.
Deliverable: Long List of Candidates
Richardson will support your company in engaging in a rigorous interview, reference-checking and hiring process to select the best candidate. We will provide structured interviews to help reduce bias. By asking each candidate the same or similar set of questions, we can ensure we have consistent data to help objective decision-making. Your lead consultant will attend and be an active part of candidate interviews.
We will also conduct in-depth reference checks on the shortlisted candidates.
Richardson also offer’s leadership assessments to dive deeper into the candidate’s leadership potential, ability to handle complexity and personality insights.

Richardson will provide advisory services in choosing the successful candidate and will provide offer negotiation assistance. Once there is a signed offer, Richardson will assist with onboarding to ensure a higher return on investment. Furthermore, Richardson will conduct debriefing sessions for each unsuccessful candidate.
To ensure long term retention, your Lead Consultant will conduct monthly check-ins and follow-up consultations.
